Jaci is an Extension Educator on The Early Childhood Team with University of Nebraska – Lincoln, Nebraska Extension. Jaci holds a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane University in Crete, Nebraska. Jaci provides resources and education for early childhood professionals and families to improve learning experiences for children in Nebraska and beyond. Since the fall of 2000, Jaci has been working with children birth to 8 years of age, including eight years of center-based childcare director experience. Jaci focuses on providing training, coaching and resources to support children’s healthy social and emotional development. Since 2017, Jaci has been a co-creator, facilitator and trainer of Nebraska Extensions signature program, CHIME – Cultivating Healthy Intentional Mindful Educators. CHIME is an 8-week professional development program for early childhood professionals. In CHIME, participants will learn mindfulness practices, self-compassion, healthy emotion regulation strategies and have opportunities to reflect on their learning.
