Judge Douglas Johnson

Judge Johnson served on the Separate Juvenile Court of Douglas County, NE for 26 years. He taught Juvenile Law at Creighton University School of Law for 25 years. He is a Past President and Trustee of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges and has been on it teaching faculty since 1998. Judge Johnson served on multiple commissions and committees in NE and nationwide and continues to do so. Working with others, he helped implement many solution-seeking systems reform programs and practices. He has written many articles on juvenile justice and child welfare. Judge Johnson has been recognized locally and nationally for his leadership and innovative, strength-based work in juvenile and child welfare. In “rewirement”, he continues to consult and teach for juvenile and family courts and court stakeholders through out the United States.
