Representing children who are unable to tell you what they need presents a unique challenge for every advocate. This session will focus on important observation techniques to identify the needs of young children and provide specific examples of how to draft recommendations for court to adopt.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this presentation, participants will:
1. Understand different observation techniques when working with young children,
2. Be able to identify who has necessary information to advance advocacy, and
3. Assess how information received translates into recommendations to the court.
