About Brittnie Snyder

My name is Brittnie Snyder, and I am the Family Services/Nutrition Coordinator at the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska Head Start and Early Head Start. I have been in this position for over 15 years now, and I have enjoyed the crazy ride that it has been. I wear many hats, as all Head Start and Early Head Start employees do. I drive the bus, greet families, and occasionally become one of the chefs here as well.

I hold a Master of Science in Child, Youth, and Family Studies and a Bachelor's in Psychology and Business Administration. I am grateful that my road to success was tough and came with a lot of bumps and bruises because I appreciate it so much more and consider myself a warrior in being able to handle complicated situations as they arise. I have helped lead this program to obtain an Early Head Start grant as well as numerous one-time funding to further our program in building on and hiring more individuals, as well as serving more of the children and families.

Outside of working, I love to sing, play sand volleyball, and play board games when time allows. I have 7 children, ranging from college to kindergarten, and one amazing little grandson. Family is the utmost important thing to me, and I’m thankful I have always been able to keep it that way.

I am very passionate about early education and ensuring that everyone has a fair chance to start life off with a head start. I value the families and children I get to work with every day because without them, our program is nothing! Every day, I consider myself lucky to have been chosen to work in this position with this program.
